New Patient Information
Initial Consultation
You have been referred to our office for your oral surgery needs. We offer a wide range of services. This includes the removal of teeth, dental implants, cosmetic facial surgery, and treating TMJ disorders.
At your initial consultation, our oral surgeon will review the x-rays and explain your treatment options.
To help us serve you better please bring the following at the time of your consultation
- Referral slip from your dentist
- Any X-rays that may help with our diagnosis
- A list of medications you are presently taking
- If you have medical or dental insurance, bring the insurance card or other necessary forms. This will save time and allow us to help you process any claims
- All patients below 18 years should be accompanied by a parent or a guardian at the initial consultation
- Additional x-rays may be taken at our office to help in diagnosis and treatment planning.
If you are undergoing IV Anesthesia physical examination is mandatory prior to surgery. If you have an artificial prosthesis or artificial heart valves you may be required to pre-medicate with antibiotics prior to surgery. Do not eat or drink anything for 8 hours prior to surgery. Make sure you have an adult to drive you home after surgery. Give yourself enough time for recovery.

Communication
We also take the time to communicate with your dentist or medical professional to make your specialty care a hassle-free experience. We recognize that good communication between doctors is the hallmark of fine surgical care and we strive to keep lines of communication open throughout your treatment.
Hospital Care
Rarely, it is necessary to perform certain procedures in local hospitals. When there is a complicated surgery anticipated or medical risk involved, we may choose to require hospitalization. Dr. Russo is an active staff members of the Memorial Regional Hospital group. Most procedures can be performed as an outpatient. Some more complicated procedures may require an overnight stay. We attempt to make this experience as relaxing as possible for you.
Initial Visits
When our patients call for an initial consultation visit, we make every effort to try to schedule your appointment at a time most convenient for you. We will schedule all non-emergency patients for their consultation visit prior to their surgical visit. At this pre-surgical visit, we are able to assess your needs and recommend treatment options in our relaxed suites in Coral Springs.
Insurance/Financial
We accept many insurance plans. Please call our office to find out if we accept your insurance. We are happy to help you by billing your insurance for you. You will have to pay your portion in full on the day of surgery. We accept major credit cards. We also offer other financing.

Our comprehensive care can ensure that patients with special needs are treated in the best possible way and their dental requirements are met.
Our oral surgeons make a note of the medical history of patient. There will be queries regarding the types of medicines taken. General anesthesia may play a key role when performing surgeries. Our team has the skills and the qualification required to administer general anesthesia and perform treatment.
Post-treatment we focus on informing patients and care takers about the necessary home care. We believe that such information can help patients and families to a great extent.
